Introduction
Concept
China Hong Kong City invited Drew Straker to create the ‘NEON A CHRISTMAS’ showcase at Christmas 2018. He features a series of neon panels that will be on display from December 1 at China Hong Kong city, as well as a specially-designed Christmas lights display on the building’s exterior, which made its debut on November 6. It try to brighten up the harbour so as to bring a new visual experience to everyone.
About Drew Straker
Drew Straker is a Perth-born street graffiti artist who paints unique murals that appear to light up the streets. His pieces look just like real neon signs, but they are actually 2D and created using only spray paint and a special technique that makes them pop off the wall.
Event Highlight
China Hong Kong City invited Straker for an Art Jamming Event with media friends & students form The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG). He demonstrated his fantastic spray painting skills and all guests had fun in doing their master pieces!
With DJ show & catering service aside harbor, every guest enjoyed the art jamming party with a series of souvenir designed by Straker.
